Steve Pringle currently holds the position of VP Global Mint & Sensates Group at Takasago International Corp. He has more than 20 years of chemical industry experience (from blue to glue to stew), the majority in the world of flavors. As well as authoring the chapter on Cooling in the book Chemesthesis: Chemical Touch in Food & Eating (Wiley Blackwell, 2016) he has also had various streams of consciousness published in Perfumer & Flavorist on topics as wide ranging as natural products to synthetic solutions. He has a Ph. D. in liquid crystal chemistry from the University of Hull, U.K. (one of the 3 great British academic institutions according to Blackadder), but doesn’t like to talk about it.
