Michael Pearson

Michael Pearson is the Deputy Director for Operations for Idaho’s largest executive branch agency. In his role, he is responsible for IT, procurement, facilities, licensure, internal audit, and others. Previously, he was the State Financial Officer for Idaho with oversight of the financial operations and policy for Idaho’s Executive Branch. Michael also spent twelve years as CFO at the Department of Fish & Game where he was instrumental in the bonding and construction of a new headquarters for the Department that was completed on time and under budget during the pandemic. Pearson believes in a culture of value-added customer service, and empowering others through predictable leadership. In 2022, he was elected to the Board of Trustees for his alma mater, the College of Idaho. In June of 2024, Michael completed his term as National Treasurer for AGA, a 12,000 member organization focused on government accountability and transparency. In his spare time, Pearson enjoys gourmet cooking, golf, and spending time with his amazing kids.
