Michelle L. Yanok, CGFM, is a branch manager for the Center for Financial Management of Department of Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service in Parkersburg, WV, where she has worked for 23 years in various roles. In her current position, she oversees grant, loan and foreign transactions for shared services customers. After joining AGA in 2005 as an at-large member, she chartered AGA’s Mid-Ohio Valley Chapter in 2008. The chapter continues to thrive mainly through active engagement within their community through service projects and educational programming. Michelle recently served in the role of AGA’s National Treasurer; was a member of the National Governing board and chaired the National Finance and Budget committee. She has previously served on AGA’s National Governing Board in 2019-2021 as Area 8 director and was the National Council of Chapter representative 2019-2022. In 2021 Michelle received the Einhorn-Gary Award for championing continuous learning, professional development, and networking through AGA. She is passionate about mentoring early-career professionals and advancing transparency in government. Michelle received a B.A. in Accounting from Marietta College, Ohio graduating cum laude in 1993 and successfully earned her CGFM in June 2012. She has two children she is extremely proud of: Drew, graduating from Medical School May 2026 from Marshall University and was matched with Marshall for general surgery; Emily graduated with a 4.0 for her Masters in speech language pathology, and is currently working at Nationwide Children’s hospital in Dublin, Ohio as a speech, language pathologist.
