Kelly Stefanko has been an AGA member and government auditor for 31 years. After graduating from James Madison University, she started her career with the Department of Defense in the Office of Inspector General, then moved to the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General. In 2002, she became the Deputy City Auditor for Norfolk, VA. In 2009, she returned to the federal government as an Audit Manager for the National Science Foundation, Office of the Inspector General and in 2025 she returned to municipal government and the Norfolk City Auditor's Office.
