Pier Francesco Cardillo is the Head of Digital Transformation at e-GEOS, JV between Leonardo Telespazio and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). He started his career in 1999 in the media industry at Sky TV (former Stream SPA), within the Innovation Department, creating innovative entertainment products. In 2001 he joined Telespazio with the responsibility of rebuilding the Corporate website. He later joined the Earth Observation Division to support the launch of innovative services. He also contributed to the launch of e-GEOS in 2009. Since then he has held positions of increasing responsibility: he supported the CEO first as Head of Business Development for innovation services and infrastructures, and then designing new technology-based ways of communication, of supporting sales, and of spreading the voice about COSMO-SkyMed Satellite System. In 2019 he was appointed with the role of Head of Digital Transformation, with the mission to drive e-GEOS to embrace new business models and new production ways, aiming at expanding the industry portfolio by leveraging on new technologies and AI extensive use.
