Abdel Rahman Khatib, P.E. (M 1999, SM 2016), received his B.S. and M.S. in electrical power engineering from Military Technical College, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech in 2002. Abdel Rahman has worked as a protection engineer at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. since 2010. His current research interests are power system modeling, power system load flow and dynamic stability, and power system protection. He has 12 years of university teaching experience in Egypt, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. Abdel Rahman is a registered professional engineer in Washington, California, and Texas.
