Sundara Kavidass has worked for more than 36 years in the power industries in areas such as R&D, boiler design, project development and plant operation / technical. He head APL’s Operation & Technical Services team as a VP for plant operation for both supercritical (12x660 MW) and subcritical units (4x330MW) at Mundra, Tiroda and Kawai. Also, heading Operation as SVP in Essar Power for 4 x 600 MW units in India. He is holder of a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University, and MS in Energy degree from New York University, NY, USA. Mr. Kavidass has worked in B&W, Dynegy Midwest Generation and Exelon Power as a Principle engineer, Plant technical Manager and Program Manager respy. He worked subcritical (up to 650 MW) and supercritical units (up to 850 MW). He has published 30 technical articles and has secured two patents in the USA.
