Farah is a mechanical engineer with over 16 years’ experience in clean energy, manufacturing and high-tech industries. As part of the Wood Clean Energy division, Farah has led and supported a number of offshore / onshore wind farm technical due diligence assignments spanning acquisition / vendor deals and project financing / lender’s technical advisor. Her involvement with European offshore wind dates back to 2012 when she managed the technical due diligence efforts on Eneco Q10 (129 MW) and subsequently held roles of deputy project manager on Gemini (600 MW), offshore wind projects in Dutch waters. Farah has also supported technical due diligence mandates in relation to Ormonde, Galloper, Westermost Rough, Dudgeon, Beatrice, Rampion, Race Bank, Lincs and London Array. Since joining the Americas team in Q2 2017, she has managed advisory projects located in the US at various stages including development, construction and operations, and recently delivered Wood’s first US Offshore due diligence mandate. Prior to joining Wood, Farah had executed a significant number of clean energy feasibility and design projects across clean energy technologies such as hydro, onshore wind, biomass, solar PV, undertaken options assessments and provided advice to various public, private and community organizations across Scotland and the UK. She has successfully delivered, from inception through to execution, projects of varying size, value and complexity across different geographies and cultures. Farah also has a strong OEM and supplier management background and in previous roles has launched multiple products for the North American market, managed suppliers and quality, implemented process improvements stemming from six sigma / lean principles and delivered on cost reduction and outsourcing projects. She holds a triple-accredited MBA from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland.
