Jim Juras is a Client Account Executive for the Power business in Black & Veatch. In this role, Mr. Juras is focused on engaging new and existing clients for consulting, engineering, procurement and construction of power generation and delivery solutions including conventional, renewables, distributed energy and transmission. Since 2012, Mr. Juras has been engaged with offshore wind developers, starting with Cape Wind, and now working with multiple offshore wind developers, and onshore Investor Owned Utilities in pursuit of cable-landing solutions and AC system integration. Prior to joining Black & Veatch, Mr. Juras worked in various capacities for nearly 20 years at Alstom- a leading manufacturer of power equipment and control software, starting as a SCADA/EMS Software Engineer, Product Manager, Services Manager, Project Manager (overseeing the installation of the energy market system at ISO-NE), and finally as a Key Account Manager in Alstom’s International Sales organization. Mr. Juras began his career in 1987 as a process control engineer for Central Hudson Gas & Electric, and supported the control systems at both the Danskammer and Roseton Power Plants in Newburgh, NY. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University at Buffalo, and a master’s degree in Software Design and Development from Marist College.
