Catelyn Scholwinski is a local expert on recycling in her community with more than eight years of public sector experience. As the recycling coordinator for the City of New Braunfels, Texas, she implements and manages municipal programs. Catelyn knows that a constant presence in local schools is key to successful participation, collaborating with local educators and community stakeholders to deliver award-winning programs that promote better waste management habits. Catelyn earned her Bachelor’s from Trinity University, with double majors in urban studies and sociology, as well as a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Sustainable Community Development from Simon Fraser University. Since 2012, she has been SWANA Certified as a Technical Associate of Recycling Systems and currently serves as the program chair on the SWANA Communication, Education and Marketing Technical Division Steering Committee.
