Dillon Lawson was named the New York Yankees’ Hitting Coordinator for the 2019 season in October. Lawson spent the 2018 season as the hitting coach for the Quad Cities River Bandits, Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. Last year was Lawson’s second stint in the Astros organization, after spending the 2016 season as hitting coach for the Class-A Tri-City ValleyCats of the New York-Penn League. Lawson spent 2017 as the hitting coach at the University of Missouri and also has experience as hitting coach for two Ohio Valley Conference Champion teams at Southeast Missouri from 2013-15.
