Ann Marie Nie is a Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence nurse practitioner and currently works in the Skin Integrity department at Children’s Minnesota. She previously worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where she was instrumental in starting their wound care department and developed a Pediatric Pressure Injury Prevention Bundle. She developed prevention methods that had not previously been used for Medical Device Related Pressure Injuries. Ann Marie is a graduate of the WOCN Education at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained her BSN from the College of Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio and completed her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Northern Kentucky University. She has started her Nursing PhD program at The Catholic University of America. She has presented nationally and internationally on pressure ulcer prevention in the pediatric population and is one of the newest board members to the NPUAP.
