Katie Thielmeyer




Katie Thielmeyer is the Risk Reduction Officer for the Woodlawn Fire Department in Hamilton County, Ohio. While serving part-time as a firefighter/paramedic, she developed the Risk Reduction Division, resulting in the full-time position with the department. Katie provides many essential services, including emergency response and fire prevention programs. Her current focus is a sector within her division called Emergency Services Special Operations (ESSO), which is based on sUAS response. Katie’s sUAS program is growing rapidly with many requests to respond around the Cincinnati area. She is also fortunate to be part of the traveling responders for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Robotics Division.
