Zay Soe, PE, CPD, GPD, LEED AP, is an Associate Principal Engineer at the design/build mechanical firm, Southland Industries. With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cal State Long Beach, Zay has spent nine years designing and managing projects from early planning through the end of construction in multiple market sectors including healthcare, entertainment, hospitality, and education. Zay is passionate about the collaborative design approach, where risks and opportunities are openly discussed among team members to promote innovative solutions for an overall team benefit. His strengths include innovative problem solving, team building, and mentoring colleagues. Zay believes that “there is always something to learn every day...or just stay in bed.”
