Mary Joyce Ivers serves as the Deputy Public Works Director for the City of Ventura. She is served as the 2020-21 National American Public Works Association (APWA) “Pandemic” President. She previously served as the Fleet and Facilities Manager from 2000-2019. She joined the City in 1992 as the Specifications Coordinator and her prior career was an Aerospace Industrial Engineer. In 2017, Mary Joyce was named the National Fleet Manager of the Year by Government Fleet and the City of Ventura Fleet was named Number one Fleet in 2014 and 2015. Mary Joyce was a Public Works First Responder in the EOC during the Thomas Fire. Mary Joyce holds a Master of Business Administration from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
