Russell Klinegardner currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Houston Area Safety Council (HASC). During the last eight years, he served on the HASC Board of Directors, was an elected officer of the Executive Committee, and held the first ever two-year term position of Chairman of the Board. Russell began his career with Dow Environmental, Inc. in 1994. Later, he joined the Brock Group where he served 20 years in the organization and held various leadership roles. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of HSE. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his commitment to improving the quality and integrity of the workforce by his volunteer spirit and dedication to the industry. Russell brings a tremendous amount of experience as an accomplished leader with a focus on core principles and systems that achieve operational excellence. Russell’s interest in safety has also played an integral role in his hobbies as an avid cyclist and private pilot. Russell earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Tulane University. Russell is also a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
