Ben is a native Texan who has been in the Safety Profession for over thirty years. He holds a BBA from the University of North Texas. He began his career working for the University Police Department, followed by seven years in the Security and Safety Department for a large Telephone Company. In 1993 he transitioned into the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) business, where he was hired as a Safety Consultant. He served as Vice President of Risk Management for two different PEO’s in the Dallas area. In 2010 he decided to start his own Consulting Business. Along with his everyday duties, he teaches CPR/Medic First Aid/AED and a variety of Safety/HR Topics. He also speaks to large industry groups all over the USA, regarding how to set up a good Safety Program to protect your greatest asset, the employee. Ben holds many Certifications in different aspects of the Safety/Risk Management and Loss Control fields. Ben is owner of BD Business Consultants; whose goal is to assist owners with all aspects of Business Solutions for their business. Ben is also the COO of the International Boarding and Pet Services Association. In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Sonia and two toy poodles, named Donny and Daisy. He is active in his local church and community serving on several boards/committees.
