Wilhelm van Butselaar has worked in the hybrid-, storage and minigrid area for over twenty years. Previous roles in the industry included product manager for off grid inverters, installer and trainer for remote electricity supply systems in the USA, across Europe and Australia as well as Sales Director for solar and storage applications in South East Asia. Past experience includes work at an institute for renewable energy in Spain and three years in the wind turbine sector. Wilhelm also has five years experience in high voltage and high power of railway applications, residential and public buildings. He studied power electronics with an emphasis on wind turbines and obtained a masters degree in electronics based on renewable energies and solar hybrid systems. Wilhelm is currently the area manager for energy storage applications at Warsila Singapore, developing and supporting projects and applications in the mini grid sector, grid connected storage applications as well as special applications for storage in the energy supply sector in South East Asia, Australia and the Pacific Region.
