Christian Bähr started working for Siemens in 1992 after studying mechanical engineering at the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. In his more than 25 years with the company, he has held various positions within Service Engineering (Fact finding on sites, Maintenance philosophies, component improvement, repair) – all with a clear focus on improving gas turbine technology. In his current role as Principal Expert for Siemens Gas Turbines he is also part of the development team for Siemens’s latest gas turbine type – the HL class.
