USMC, Retired
Harrell, USMC (Ret.), was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Turkey Creek, Ky., the eldest of nine children who had faith deeply rooted in the God of the Bible. At age 18, he joined the Marines and was assigned to the USS Indianapolis, where he served during many battles. Following the war he owned a window distributorship and served on the board of the Moody Bible Institute. He lives in Clarksville, Tenn., with Ola, his wife of 73 years. Edgar speaks extensively around the country about his survival at sea. Email info@indysurvivor.com.
