Marva Johnson is the Vice President, State Government Affairs for Charter Communications Southern Region. In this position, Johnson evaluates state legislative and regulatory policy implications associated with the company’s technological infrastructure, service delivery, and long-term strategy. She also works to establish and drive legislative and regulatory strategies for the company’s video, voice and data services. Ms. Johnson has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry, including leading the Government Affairs function for Bright House Networks, serving as General Counsel for Supra Telecommunications, a subsidiary of FDN Communications, and Vice President and Senior Counsel for KMC Telecommunications where she oversaw KMC’s regulatory, legislative and industry relations at both the state and federal levels. Prior to joining KMC, she served in several management positions within MCI and BellSouth. Johnson is a frequent honoree in CableFax: The Magazine including being recognized as an “MSO Executive to Watch,” one of the “Top Women in Tech” and one of the “Most Influential Minorities.” She chairs the Global Board of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) and the Florida State Board of Education.
