Fraser Stirling was named Senior Vice President, Devices and Advanced AI Systems for Comcast’s Technology and Product (T+P) area in 2015. Fraser leads the team that develops Comcast’s hardware and consumer devices, with the mission of improving new product service velocity, product differentiation and cost management. He also leads the company-wide effort to move to all IP, allowing customers to stream video over WiFi in their homes. He is a domain expert in high volume device deployment and manufacturing. Since joining Comcast in 2014, Fraser has planned and led the effort to transform the company’s device industrial design standards, focused on the product. He has been integral to reimagining the design of Comcast devices, helping the consumer see the product as more than just another piece of technology in the home. Under Fraser’s leadership, Comcast was recently recognized with three prestigious Red Dot Awards in the area of industrial design as well as multiple IDSA awards. He and his team launched the first voice-controlled remote-control device, improving functionality and providing new accessibility capability, and they also revamped the device product portfolio, delivering superior devices while driving quality up and costs down. Previously, Fraser led the OnCue hardware and software engineering team at Intel Media. Prior to that, he served as Director of Product at Sky UK. He studied Music Technology with Electronics at Glasgow Caledonian University.
