Rick graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with B.A in Education and Pre-Law. He has worked for numerous companies in the communications industry: US West, AT&T, and QWEST, primarily in the training and tech ops world. He has Field Ops experience as a tech, Tech Ops Supervisor and Tech Manager. He moved to AT&T where developed curriculum and delivered technical training. Eventually he moved to Field Operations where he supported the network and customer premise equipment for NORAD, Air Force Space Command and US Space Command. Moving to QWEST Communications, he was responsible for oversite of AT&T services, while managing the Network Management Center. In 2002, he managed the voice, video and wireless network on behalf of QWEST at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. He joined Charter Communications in 2010. Initially, he was responsible for managing the technical training delivery team across the enterprise. Since 2013, he has been responsible for managing and developing technical curriculum for Field Operations. Under his guidance, Charter Field Operations has moved forward from an ILT based training organization to one focused on Interactive and blended learning. He and his wife, Deb, reside in Larkspur, Colorado.
