Luke is a Maryland native and a Client Advocate in our Dallas office. He has more than 32 years of construction insurance experience. He designs and placed insurance and surety programs for clients primarily in the area of construction, financial institution, and pension funds. In his current role, Luke is responsible for the National Default Insurance Group. This 8 member team focuses primarily on placement and servicing of the Default Insurance product with the ENR Top Contractors nationally and internationally. Luke also has experience in surety property & casualty insurance placement, loss control/safety, property & business interruption loss prevention and claims, executive protection lines, captive utilization, and alternative risk finance solutions. Luke began his career in the construction industry in 1979. In 1986, Luke worked for the Aetna Casualty & Surety Company in Washington DC underwriting contract surety, fidelity, and fiduciary liability exposures. He moved to Dallas as an Assistant Bond Manager for The Hartford Fire Insurance company handling surety and fidelity for West Texas, Dallas and Oklahoma. Since his experience with The Hartford, Luke has worked as an Insurance Broker for over 23 years with J Smith Lanier, Arthur J Gallagher Aon Construction Services Group and now Willis Towers Watson managing the Contractor Default Insurance Practice Nationally. He is the 2006-07 past President of the Dallas Fort Worth Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) Chapter and served in an advisory leadership role for nineteen year.
