Elizabeth is a construction neutral providing services as a dispute board member, partnering facilitator, arbitrator, and mediator. Her background includes serving as general counsel for architecture/engineering firms with experience in developing construction contracts, risk management, and insurance issues for a variety of projects and project delivery methods. She has served as Chair/Member of numerous DRBs, and as an arbitrator/mediator for over 1500 disputes. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and certified for US and FIDIC International Dispute Boards. Elizabeth is a member of the Construction, Large Complex Case and Commercial Panels of the American Arbitration Association and an arbitrator for the Contractors State Licensing Board. She served for 5 years as an Administrative Law Judge for the California Office of Administrative Hearings and 15 years as adjunct Professor in the Architecture Department of AAU. She is the former President of The Mediation Society, past Director for the American Institute of Architects/San Francisco Chapter, and currently serves as President Elect of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, Region 1/US & Canada. She is known for thorough preparation, technical knowledge, exceptional listening and writing skills, a calming influence, and impartiality.
