Klaus Meder was born in 1962 in Darmstadt. He studied Electrical Engineering in the University of Darmstadt, Germany and the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. 1987 he joined Bosch as development engineers for steering and air bag electric control units. In 1996 he became vice president of the JV ASCO and Bosch Automotive Electronics Corporation in Tomioka, Japan in charge of Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality. 2001 he joined the Chassis Systems division of Bosch and became a member of the divisional board 2005. Later he pursued his role as President of Automotive Electronics Division in Robert Bosch GmbH and was appointed President and Representative Director of Bosch Japan in 2017. From 2007 until 2011 he was a member of the VDA committee for engineering of the supplier section. From 2011 until 2017 he was the chairman of the ZVEI automotive committee. In 2017 Klaus Meder was the president of the European Semiconductor Association ESIA.
