Sandy is an international exploration geologist specializing in satellite image analysis and photogeology. Her work closely integrates traditional structural and geomorphic interpretation with digital spectral compositional prediction and mineral modeling, all focused on exploration and field targeting. Most of Sandy’s 38-year career has been in consulting services for oil and gas, mineral, and geothermal exploration companies. Sandy contributed to the use of satellite imagery for identifying and mapping oil seeps on water surfaces and her current interest lies in identifying alteration mineralogy associated with hydrocarbon accumulations. Sandy received her BSc degree in Geology at Indiana State University and MSc degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines.
