Hematology & Oncology care at the Michael E Debakey VA Medical Center
Dr Yellapragada, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the section of Hematology & Oncology at the Baylor College of Medicine. She is also the Cancer Committee Co-Chair for the past 3 years at the Houston VA medical center. Her focus has been enhancing the care of rural veterans through use of Telemedicne in the area of hematology and oncology care. She has served as the PI on Rural Health Grants to increase access to care and has also worked in a team to improve access to teleconsultation through tele-tumor board. She has served on national VA Task Forces and working groups to use create a pathway of utilization of telecare in Cancer. Her work has been showcased at several local, regional and national meetings.
