Dr. Robello Samuel is a Halliburton Technology Fellow and Chief Technical Advisor. He also holds concurrent adjunct faculty position at University of Houston and University of Southern California. He began his career working in the rigs as a field drilling engineer and has more than 34 years of experience in oil and gas drilling operations. He is a Thinker, researcher, innovator, thought leader, author, educator, educationist and regarded as one of the world’s most influential contributors to advancement of research and practice in drilling engineering. Among his recent honors include:featured speaker at several conferences, SPE Distinguished Lecturer, and the recipient of SPE Regional Drilling Engineering Award, SPE international Drilling Engineering award and SPE Distinguished member. He has published over 270 technical papers/patents and 13 books. He holds a BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering, an MS and a PhD degrees in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa.
