Louis A. Zacharilla is Director of Innovation for Space & Satellite Professionals International (www.sspi.org) the world’s largest trade association for commercial industry professionals, where he serves as strategist and spokesperson. He oversees SSPI’s new chapters and initiates new events for the SSPI franchise. Mr. Zacharilla created the popular Better Satellite World awareness campaign www.bettersatelliteworld.com. Lou has written hundreds of articles and blogs for industry trade and business publications, appears in the media regularly, moderates industry panels and is a co-author of three books. He has a podcast for SSPI called The Better Satellite World which has a unique conversational approach and focuses on industry and society’s issues and how satellites make a positive contribution to them. Lou also oversees activities at World Teleport Association, an industry trade association for teleport operators. www.worldteleport.org He developed the WTA’s Teleport Awards for Excellence event at the annual Satellite conference. The Awards Luncheon is now in its 25th year. He holds a Masters Degree from the University of Notre Dame (USA) and resides in New York City.
