In his 40+ year carrier in the industry, Dutch has been directly involved with the design, construction, and operation of over 2,000 Family Entertainment Center (FEC) attractions around the world. Starting in the drafting department in 1985, Dutch has been the president of Amusement Products since 1994. During those many years, he has helped Amusement Products continue to grow through innovation with their products and the addition of new attractions. He and his staff push the limits of creativity in every attraction that Amusement Products makes. This drive for excellence has led to many FEC industry innovations including four attractions that were able to win the prestigious “BEST NEW FEC ATTRACTION” award from IAAPA, the world’s largest amusement association and multiple patents. Dutch started Amusement Construction Company Inc. in 1999 to help his customers build the highest quality FEC attractions. With some of the most innovative go kart tracks, miniature golf courses and full FEC facilities, we emphasize: “Stress Free Construction”. Today along with his manufacturing and construction company responsibilities, Dutch continues to oversee the operations of Sir Goony’s Fun Zone as he has done since 1980. This 50+ year old Chattanooga FEC has many FEC attractions including the original prototypes of many of Amusement Products award-winning and patented attractions! In addition, Dutch has served the industry by volunteering on many industry committees including the founding IAAPA miniature golf committee, the International Go Kart Association (IRGA) and served as its president, and several IAAPA committees. While president of the IRGA, Dutch helped establish standardized design and safety regulations go kart tracks through ASTM. He is currently serving on IAAPA’s North American M&S committee.
