Putt-Putt Fun House


Jim Saxe owns and operates Putt-Putt FunHouse, a two-story family entertainment center in Webster, Texas, just outside of Houston, with his wife, Carol. The Saxes began in the entertainment business when they opened their first Putt-Putt Golf Course in 1979. Since then, the complex has gone through several expansions, improvements, and additions. Now, Putt-Putt FunHouse features dozens of attractions, a large arcade, and café, the FunHouse Café. Prior to family entertainment, Mr. Saxe was a basketball coach and teacher for 23 years for Clear Creek Independent School District. He has been recognized in his community’s school district for his dedication to working with youth and has won the Clear Creek Education Foundation Award in 2016. He has also been honored by winning CCISD Teacher of the Year, Putt-Putt Golf Courses of America Owner of the Year, YMCA Volunteer of the Year, and Rotarian of the Year. Putt-Putt FunHouse has also won several awards, including Bay Area Houston’s Best Family Entertainment Center by The Citizen, the Alvin Taylor National Landscaping Award, FEC of the month by RePlay Magazine, FEC of the Year IAAPA past nominee, and IAAPA finalist for Best Radio Advertising. Jim and Carol’s genuine love of working with youth has resulted in Putt-Putt FunHouse’s involvement in many other efforts that have helped children, such as the Putt for the Fallen fundraising event, elementary school mini-golf tournaments, and community food drives. Jim and Carol have two daughters and five grandchildren.
