Jim is an idea guy who relishes in the challenge and opportunity to create. He holds multiple patents and has created series of products that have been sold in top retailers and family entertainment venues worldwide. With 20+ years in the family entertainment and import industry Jim operates with resounding passion and turns that passion into unique and fun novelty toys as the President and Founder of Virginia Toy and Novelty Company based in Virginia Beach, VA. His experience includes sourcing, product development, licensing, and entrepreneurship. Past and current collaborations include Marvel, DreamWorks, DC Comics, SeaWorld, Six Flags, Universal Studios, Sears/Kmart, Dollar Tree, 7-11, and Dollar General. He has achieved recognition for Entrepreneurial Excellence and has been named the Top 40 under 40 among peers. He has published work and can been seen in Inc. Magazine, highlighted in RePlay Magazine and The Virginian Pilot. Jim is a past President of the local chapter of Entrepreneur Organization (EO) and is helping drive economic growth for his home region by creating a local EO Accelerator program for first and second stage entrepreneurs in the Coastal Virginia region. He is an advocate and Advisory Board member of Honor and Remember who strive to recognize, honor, and remember US service members who sacrificed their lives to keep our country safe. In his free time, Jim can be found swinging the coil of his AT Pro Garrett metal detector discovering and saving historic relics around the globe. He enjoys international cooking and experimenting with unique and exotic ethnic foods. Jim is a native of New Jersey but calls the beautiful resort area of Virginia Beach home since 1997.
