Debbie Petersen is the Creative Design & Development Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering Florida. Debbie began her career in the Magic Kingdom with Walt Disney World Park Operations in 1977. Since transitioning to Imagineering, she has performed many roles including graphic design and fabrication, art direction and a variety of other project assignments. She has worked on projects and enhancements in different portfolios including Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, water parks and resorts. Debbie is currently responsible for the creative disciplines under the Florida Creative Studio. These teams develop stories, ideas and concepts for Walt Disney World Resort property. The Creative Studio also includes the art direction and implementation disciplines required to bring these stories to life. Walt Disney Imagineering is the unique innovative organization that creates – from concept through construction – all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, cruise ships, real estate developments, and regional entertainment venues worldwide. Imagineering’s unique strength comes from the teamwork and syntheses of creative and technical professionals representing more than 100 diverse disciplines.
