Zoo Miami
As the Guest Services Manager at Zoo Miami, Diana Vega leads six operations teams: admissions, sales and events, information technology, and facility operations that includes security, walkway (grounds maintenance), and custodial, which totals approximately 86 positions. Over her 16 year tenure at the Zoo, she has had the opportunity to work in five different positions that has prepared her to successfully manage all of Guest Service Operations. Diana’s first two years as a Finance and Office Manager equipped her with the necessary skills on compiling and reporting financials and planning multiple events. From there, she oversaw the Group Sales Department for over 12 years with the responsibility of managing one of the largest revenue-driven departments that primed her for her current role as the Guest Services Manager. In addition to the hands-on knowledge and experience, Diana also has achieved a Master’s in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from NOVA Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a major in Management from the University of Miami.
