Scerba, who brought nearly 20 years of experience in sports and event management to USF, came to the Bulls from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where she served as Director of Community Relations managing all aspects of the organization’s player outreach programs and events, as well as those for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation and Glazer Family Foundation. During her tenure launching several new community programs, including Social Justice Program, Jr. Bucs Program and Women of Red 2018 programming. Prior to joining the Bucs, Scerba served as the ED of the 2017 World Rowing Championships. Responsible for the overall planning, staffing, fundraising and management of the championship, managing an $8.5 million operating budget and raised $3.5 million in sponsorship and event revenue as the event provided a $25 million economic impact. Scerba also had a highly successful 10-year tenure at the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, rising to SVP of marketing and operations. In addition to the 60+ NCAA Championships and NGB Championship events her career breakthrough was serving as the ED of the 2013 National Senior Games, which had a budget of $4.3 million and provided an economic impact of $36.1 million. Scerba began her career with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a group events coordinator. Being a part of an era of the franchise when they landed the number 1 lottery pick of LeBron James provided her experience and insight on how to capitalize on a company’s changing landscape that happened overnight. Joining USF Athletics has closed the circle of working in every level of the sports industry; Professional, amateur, and now collegiate. The combination of all her past career experiences came together in the leadership of the external department that oversees; marketing, communications, digital/creative, Sales/Ticketing, Broadcast, and multimedia rights.
