Matthew Finley serves as Anderson University's (SC) Deputy Athletics Director and Senior Compliance Administrator, bringing 20 years of higher education experience in intercollegiate athletics. A native South Carolinian, Finley serves on the NAAC Division II Committee and is a mentor in the NAAC ACE program. He has also contributed to the NAAC Convention Committee and previously served on the NCAA Division II Committee for Legislative Relief and the Coaching Enhancement Grant Committee. Finley began his college career as a wrestler at NC State before transferring to Clemson University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He later completed a master's in sports leadership at Duquesne University and is pursuing a Ph.D. in leadership at Anderson University. He enjoys meeting new compliance professionals at NAAC and values building relationships beyond the convention—connecting with peers across campuses to share ideas, solve challenges, and support each other in meeting institutional goals. Outside of work, Finley enjoys officiating NCAA Division I Wrestling, exercising, and vacationing with his family at Dollywood.
