Johnson is in her sixth year at Prairie View A&M University. Johnson's area is responsible for enuring compliance for the Panthers' 18 Division I programs. In August 2016, she was named Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services. In addition to overseeing compliance, athletic services and student-athlete development, she provided compliance oversight for the Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Golf, Women’s Soccer and Volleyball teams and is responsible for the institution’s NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate (APR), Graduation Success Rates (GSR) reports, NCAA Sport Sponsorship, and National Letter of Intent (NLI) program. In April of 2013, she joined the athletic compliance staff as the athletic compliance officer where she assisted the Director of Compliance in the day to day operation of the compliance. Prior to accepting the position at Prairie View A&M, Johnson began her career in athletic administration at Alabama A&M University. While at Alabama A&M, her responsibilities included initial eligibility, monitoring of practice and competition logs, squad lists, official and unofficial visits and serving as Co-Advisor to Student-Athlete-Advisory Committee (SAAC). Johnson is very active on the national level as an active member of the National Association of Athletic Compliance (NAAC), Women Leaders in College Sports, formally NACWAA, and Minority Opportunities Athletic Administration (MOAA). She is a graduate of Women Leaders Institute for Administrative Advancement (West - 2016), and the prestigious Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute. A native of Bessemer, Ala., Johnson graduated for the University of Alabama (2007) and attended Alabama A&M University for her graduate studies. She is currently a doctoral student at Walden University.
