Jennifer Fraser, serves as managing director of Division I at the NCAA national office. As a former director of academic and membership affairs, athletic administrator on campus and in conference offices, she returned to Indianapolis in May 2015. In her current role she serves as primary liaison to the NCAA Division I Council and works directly with the Board of Directors. During her previous tenure at the NCAA she supported the Division I Committee on Academic Performance, where she played a significant role in that committee’s academic reform efforts. As a primary staff liaison to committees, Fraser helped implement the revised Division I governance structure and worked on a number of policy initiatives, including time management, transfer issues, initial eligibility standards and transformation. Fraser also has significant experience with the NCAA’s governance processes, having spent three years working in the national office’s Division II governance group. She began her career at the national office in the Eligibility Center, working in client relations. Before joining the national office, Fraser was an assistant commissioner at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, assistant athletic director and senior woman administrator at Metropolitan State College of Denver. She also spent time as the assistant commissioner and senior woman administrator at the California Collegiate Athletic Association. She holds a sociology degree from California State University, San Bernardino.
