Jeffrey Wurzbach




Jeff is a globally recognized engineering expert in the drone industry. He currently owns and operates Wurzbach Electronics, Inc. a consultancy specializing in drone hardware engineering. His company is also a key supplier of drone avionics and robotic control systems to several drone and robotics companies in San Diego and the Bay Area. His consulting customers are located throughout the US and abroad. Previously, he worked as an electrical engineer at 3D Robotics (now 3DR) from mid-2013 to late 2015 and was directly involved in all top-line products 3DR released in that time frame. He has presented before several industry associations on drone product safety and other drone topics. Jeff has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego, where he received the Filanc Award and Gordon Medal for engineering leadership. Prior to working in the drone industry, Jeff worked at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems Division in several capacities, including in a high-voltage pulsed-power research lab. As part of his responsibilities at GA-EMS, he was trained and certified to work with energized systems up to 10kV.
