Theresa Cox is mad about the color red. However, when she decided to downsize and sell her life on eBay, she said goodbye to her sizable red shuttered home outside of Phoenix, Arizona. Along with it, went her treasured red kitchen, red-accented poolside oasis known affectionately as “Club Red”, and hundreds of red tchotchkes. After 30 years working in finance and operations for higher education, Theresa was ready for a simpler life. She used her more than 18 years as a hobby seller on eBay to offload all of her non-essential red possessions and moved three hours north into her unfinished investment property in Williams, Arizona. She sold that property and entered into an unorthodox agreement with the buyers, leaving 85% of her listed inventory in the hands of a 13-year-old to ship for her, allowing her to move back to the Phoenix area and leave her inventory of 4,000 active listings behind. Now, selling on eBay is a full-time job/labor of love. Theresa’s using her head for numbers to take her game to a whole new level. She was invited as an exclusive guest panelist and appeared on stage with eBay executives at eBay’s annual seller conference, eBay Open in 2017.
