Steven Lerman
Occupation Health Physician
Steven E. Lerman, MD, MPH, received a BA in biology from Rutgers University, an MPH from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and an MD from Washington University Medical School. He trained in Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, completed a residency in Occupational Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and is Board Certified in Occupational Medicine with broad expertise in Occupational & Environmental Health. Dr. Lerman joined ExxonMobil in 1988 and has served in a variety of position within the Medicine and Occupational Health Department and ExxonMobil Biomedical Sciences, Inc. He conducted several studies of the health of the workforce including studies to assess whether exposure to bright lights helps employees adjust to diurnal variations required in shift work. In addition, he chaired the ANSI Committee which developed a standard on Fatigue Risk Management Systems for Personnel in the Refining and Petrochemical Industries.
