Ken Smigielski joined O-I in November of 2015 as Manager of Health & Safety for North America. In May of 2017 he accepted the role of Director of Environmental Health and Safety for North America. His current responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of EHS programs, regulatory compliance, and safety culture development. Before joining O-I, Ken held several EHS positions at Fist Solar Inc., including: Corporate EHS Manager and EHS Engineering Controls Manager. He also worked three years supporting automotive part supply companies with EHS services. Ken holds a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Health from the University of Toledo. He has expertise in Industrial Hygiene, Indoor air monitoring and emission control, Creative Safety Training Programs and Behavior Safety. Ken’s hobbies include hiking, kayaking, and snow shoeing. Ken is also a baseball fan.
