Robert Keys




Bob worked 31 years in the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) where he retired as a battalion chief. His final assignment was chief of the FDNY Research and Development Unit. He is considered to be an industry expert on the incorporation of new technology in the fire service. Bob was an important member of the rebuilding of the FDNY following 9/11 and has been awarded numerous medals for heroic and lifesaving acts. Bob earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University. Bob is the principal of the Fire-research and Development of New York Consulting, LLC.
