Erin Slezak is the Senior Director of Data Analytics and Assessment at YES Prep Public Schools, a public charter serving 12,500 students in the greater Houston area. Her team works every day to rapidly increase the availability of useable, relevant data to all campus stakeholders to drive mission-aligned action. Erin began her career in education teaching middle school social studies in the Rio Grande Valley through Teach for America. Following her corps commitment, Erin moved to Houston to teach at YES Prep where she won the Kinder Award for Excellence in Teaching and created the first district-wide social studies content team. Working deeply with assessment sparked the interest in data, analytics and the interoperability of systems that drives her work today.
