Cara Pavek is Florida Atlantic University (FAU) School District’s 2017 Teacher of the Year. She has a Master’s degree in Reading (K-12). She has taught first grade for 5 years at A.D. Henderson University School (ADHUS), a public lab school located on the campus of FAU in Boca Raton, Florida. Prior to teaching at ADHUS, Cara taught in Title I schools in the School District of Palm Beach County for over eleven years. Technology in the classroom is an important part of her instruction. She is a Google Certified Educator (Level I) and 2016 PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovator. Cara is also an ambassador for a variety of digital tools such as Seesaw, Remind and Epic!.
