Sam is the Executive Director of the Texas Self Insurance Association (TSIA) and of the Texas Certified Self Insurers Guaranty Association (TCSIGA). He has held both positions since his retirement from the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. He is the voice of self-insured employers in Texas with the DWC and the Texas Legislature. He has over 35 years’ experience in loss control and workers’ compensation since leaving the Air Force. Managing both insured and self-insured, domestic and international programs in his 21 years with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. As part of the Executive Committee for the Texans for Workers’ Compensation Reform coalition he helped drive workers’ compensation reform in Texas. Sam is a Past President of TSIA and former Chair of the TCSIGA Board of Directors. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Business.
