Bernard has been in the zoo business for 43 years, his last zoo position being CEO of Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), one of the finest and most profitable, zoological institutions in the world which operates the Singapore Zoological Gardens, Night Safari, Jurong Bird Park and River Safari. (In 2015 WRS posted a NPAT of US$15million). He resigned in 2002 to set up Bernard Harrison and Friends Ltd, a specialist design company focusing on the development and sustainable operation of zoological and botanic gardens, national parks and eco-tourism attractions. Because of his extensive experience and network of colleagues, Bernard is able to put together specific concept development and design teams tailored to individual projects. Bernard Harrison and Friends have worked on zoo and wildlife projects in a range of countries which include: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Canada, China, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
