Dr. Kenneth Farrish
Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture; Stephen F. Austin State University
By the time Dr. Kenneth Farrish came to the Arthur Temple College of Forestry as Associate Professor of Forest Soils in August of 1996 at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches Texas, his extensive background consisted of soil research and soil conservation throughout the continental US including Michigan Technological University, University of Minnesota, USDA Soil Conservation Service and Louisiana Tech University. By August 2001, Dr. Farrish become Director of the Division of Environmental Science at Stephen F. Austin State University and was recognized as the Arnold Distinguished Professor of Environmental Science in 2003, and from 2012-2015 was the Interim Chair for the Department of Geology at SFA. With numerous awards and publications throughout his career, Dr. Farrish’s main focus currently is Environmental Soil Science, Remediation and Reclamation of Disturbed Land and Forest Soils.
