Sarah Eagle Heart, Oglala Lakota, is an accomplished and internationally experienced executive focused on serving and advocating for Indigenous Peoples. Native Americans in Philanthropy will hold their annual philanthropy summit and celebration Invisible No More: Native Movement Building on May 6 in Los Angeles, CA co-hosted by America Ferrera & Ryan Piers Williams, Max & Vicki Kennedy, Ty Stikalorious, Twila True, Rachel Kropa, Cookie Parker, Holly Cook Macarro and Ernie Stevens, Jr. For more information please visit www.nativephilanthropy.org. Ms. Eagle Heart’s career began at Viejas Casino working in the advertising and marketing department. Since then, her experience ranges from nonprofit and corporate tribal organizations to large international non-governmental organizations. She has built upon her traditional cultural knowledge to understand the essential need for cross cultural communication, education, mutual respect, collaboration, partnership and advocacy. She has extensive experience on cross sectional public policy initiatives with, and for, diverse communities nationally and internationally as Team Leader for Diversity and Ethnic Ministries, and Program Officer for Indigenous Peoples serving on the staff of the Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church headquartered in NY, NY. She is a 2014 recipient of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development’s “40 under 40 Award”, recognizes emerging leaders who have demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication and made significant contributions in business and/or their community. Ms. Eagle Heart is a co-founder of advocacy collective Indigenous Women Rise and also a co-founder of social impact fashion brand SACREDx with Bethany Yellowtail. Ms. Eagle Heart holds an M.B.A. - Global Management from University of Phoenix in San Diego, CA. She also holds a B.A. Mass Communication and B.A. American Indian Studies from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD.
